"Passenger Transportation" JSC has announced temporary changes to the operating hours of dining cars on approximately 40 train routes across Kazakhstan. According to the company, during the holy month of Ramadan, dining cars will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM, with an additional opening during Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) from 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM.

To accommodate those observing the fast, special menus will be provided. Company representatives stated that during Iftar (the evening meal to break the fast), dining cars will offer complimentary water and dates to passengers. Additionally, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be strictly prohibited during the Iftar period.

This year, the month of Ramadan began in Kazakhstan on February 19 and will last for 29 days.
