Kazakhstan has officially launched the national competition “Top 100 College Students of the Republic of Kazakhstan.” The project aims to identify students who stand out for their knowledge, professional skills, and active life position, and to showcase their achievements across the country.
The competition is designed to enhance the prestige of technical and vocational education, increase the appeal of skilled professions, unlock leadership potential among youth, and offer real professional growth opportunities.
Students from colleges across all regions of Kazakhstan are eligible to participate. Candidates include winners and participants of WorldSkills championships and professional skills competitions, leaders of student self-government and volunteer movements, authors of innovative ideas and startup projects, winners of scientific conferences, olympiads, and sports competitions, as well as active members of creative groups. Students who have won this competition in the past three years are not eligible to participate again.
The competition consists of three stages:
1. College-level selection – Each college can nominate no more than five candidates. This stage evaluates academic achievements, professional accomplishments, and social activity of the applicants.
2. Regional stage – Ten top candidates from each region and cities of national significance are selected, with their achievements assessed comprehensively.
3. National final – The final selection is conducted on the “TOP-100 STUDENTS” online platform, where the 100 best college students in the country are determined.
