Tokayev Meets Japan’s Emperor Naruhito

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev began his first official visit to Japan with a meeting with Emperor Naruhito of the Land of the Rising Sun.

During the meeting, the President expressed his gratitude to the Japanese side for their warm welcome and hospitality, noting that the Kazakh people have always admired the Japanese for their discipline and perseverance.

“Our countries are connected by a relationship based on mutual respect and long-standing friendship, which has developed successfully across various fields,” Tokayev said.

In turn, Emperor Naruhito remarked that President Tokayev’s visit is a significant event in the history of relations between the two nations and expressed confidence that this visit will elevate cooperation to a new level.

During the meeting, both sides discussed deepening bilateral cooperation and addressed pressing issues on the international agenda.
