The Ministry of Health's new digital platform has exposed significant systemic issues in Kazakhstan's healthcare sector that were previously undetected. The most critical finding reveals that over 6,000 medical professionals - including 2,000 doctors and 4,000 nurses and paramedics - are currently practicing with expired certificates.

The majority of these cases, over 5,000, are concentrated in urban medical centers, while approximately 1,000 were identified in rural areas.

In addition to licensing issues, the system flagged severe labor violations, recording more than 4,000 instances of staff exceeding the legal limit of 1.75 work rates. The data also uncovered numerous cases where specialists are simultaneously registered at multiple healthcare organizations. The Ministry has launched a further investigation into these anomalies to ensure that medical profiles and workloads align with patient safety standards and labor laws.
