Kyiv and Washington have completed a round of productive negotiations in Geneva — an updated framework for a peace agreement on Ukraine has been prepared, Qrnews.kz reports, linking DW.

Ukraine and the United States announced that an updated framework document for achieving peace in Ukraine is being prepared. This is stated in a joint statement published on the websites of the White House and the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The negotiations took place in Geneva, where the delegations of the two countries “synchronously and productively” agreed on a revised version of the document. However, the text itself has not yet been made public.

The statement emphasizes that the future agreement must fully respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and guarantee a “lasting and just peace.”

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the consultations were successful and that both sides agreed to continue working on the document “in the coming days,” as well as to closely cooperate with European partners.

The publication of the peace plan itself is still expected — the details remain behind closed doors.
