The First 5G Base Station Launched in Alatau City.

All Schools in Alatau City to Have High-Speed Internet Access by the End of the Year

According to Qrnews.kz, citing the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, all city schools will be provided with high-speed internet access by the end of the year.

The Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during a working trip, discussed issues related to the development of communication infrastructure and the improvement of telecommunications services.

Together with the Alatau city administration and telecom operators, the Committee representatives visited the residential areas "Zarechny" and "Zhetygen," as well as the section of the "Almaty – Konayev" highway. The primary focus was on ensuring stable signals and expanding network coverage in suburban and remote areas.

As part of the visit to Alatau, the first 5G base station from Mobile Telecom Service was launched. The new station will increase the network’s bandwidth and provide users with high-speed internet access.

After the visit, a meeting was held at the Alatau city administration to discuss telecommunications infrastructure development. The discussions covered plans for further implementation of 5G networks, expansion of fixed coverage for government institutions and residential areas, and measures to improve service quality in the region.

Special attention was given to connecting educational institutions: by the end of the year, all schools in Alatau will be provided with high-speed internet access.

As a result of the meeting, a roadmap for providing Alatau city with high-quality mobile communication and internet services for 2025–2027 was signed. The roadmap includes the gradual development of communication networks, equipment modernization, and the connection of social infrastructure.
