On Thursday, a devastating storm with winds reaching up to 90 km/h and heavy torrential rain struck Istanbul. Turkish meteorologists issued a "yellow" alert for 63 out of 81 provinces. As a result of the natural disaster, several ferry routes were suspended, according to ria.ru.

As of today, Friday, temperatures in the city have plummeted sharply (from +15°C down to +7°C), causing black ice to form in high-altitude areas. Authorities have warned of potential traffic disruptions and the risk of falling trees and utility poles. Snowfall is expected in the metropolis in the coming days.
