SpaceX Aims to Discover Alien Civilizations

American entrepreneur Elon Musk has stated that he founded SpaceX with a much more ambitious goal than mere space exploration. According to Musk, humanity must eventually learn to fly from planet to planet, venture beyond the Solar System, and potentially encounter extraterrestrial civilizations.

Musk shared these visions while speaking at an event at Starbase, the company's dedicated facility in Texas where key SpaceX projects are concentrated.

"I will tell you the purpose of SpaceX. We want to make Star Trek real. One day, science fiction will become science fact," the entrepreneur declared.

According to his vision, the advancement of space technology should allow humans to move freely between planets and eventually leave our star system entirely.

"Ultimately, we want to go to other star systems where we may meet aliens or discover long-dead alien civilizations," Musk added.

The businessman cited the cult sci-fi franchise Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry, as a major inspiration for his ideas. The original series, which debuted in the 1960s, followed the voyages of the starship Enterprise and its crew as they explored deep space. Since then, Star Trek has evolved into a massive media franchise including dozens of films, series, and animated projects.

Musk has repeatedly emphasized that science fiction from his childhood largely shaped his views on the future of humanity and inspired projects that, until recently, seemed impossible.
