Shymkent to Provide Double the International Women's Day Payouts Compared to Astana

Large families and mothers in Shymkent will receive a one-time social assistance payment from the local budget in honor of International Women's Day. This year, the payout amount in the third metropolis is significantly higher than that of the capital.

According to the Shymkent City Administration, the festive support will cover 14,267 women. The financial aid is designated for the following categories:

• Recipients of the "Altyn Alka" (Golden Pendant) and "Kumis Alka" (Silver Pendant);
• Women with the title of "Batyr Ana" (Heroine Mother);
• Recipients of the "Ana Danky" (Mother’s Glory) Order of I and II degrees.

Payout Amounts and Requirements

To be eligible for the festive payment, recipients must have a permanent registration in Shymkent as of March 8, 2026.
The payout in Shymkent is set at 5 MCI (21,625 KZT), whereas in Astana, the amount is 2.5 MCI (10,813 KZT).

There is no need for recipients to visit any government office or submit applications. The list of beneficiaries will be generated automatically based on data from the "Government for Citizens" state corporation. The funds will be transferred directly to the recipients' bank accounts.

In Astana, approximately 37,000 large families and mothers are expected to receive festive assistance this year.
