"Kazhydromet" has released the weather forecast for the coming days. According to experts, between February 24 and 26, most of the country will be influenced by a cold northwestern anticyclone.

With the arrival of the anticyclone, precipitation will stop in many regions of the republic. However, due to the influx of Arctic cold air masses, a sharp drop in air temperature is expected across the majority of the country.

Temperature Forecast by Region:

  • In Eastern Kazakhstan: Nighttime temperatures will drop to -32...-40°C.
  • In Northern and Central regions: Severe frosts at night will range between -28...-37°C.
  • In Western regions: Nighttime temperatures will fall to -15...-25°C.
  • In Southern regions: Heavy rain is expected, followed by a cold snap. Temperatures there are predicted to drop to 0...-10°C.

Additionally, adverse weather conditions such as strengthening winds, ice (black ice), and fog will persist in the south of the country. Experts urge citizens to be cautious and to consider weather conditions before embarking on long-distance travel.
