Scorching Heat up to 40 Degrees Expected in Kazakhstan this Weekend

Kazakhstanis should prepare for significant weather surprises during the upcoming weekend. Forecasters warn that on May 30 and 31, while one part of the country experiences intense heat, other regions could face devastating storms and hail.

The most dangerous and unfavorable weather phenomena are expected to hit the western and northwestern regions of the country. Synopticians have issued warnings for heavy rainfall, hail, and squalling winds in these areas.

Residents of the following regions are advised to exercise high caution over the weekend:

•  West Kazakhstan Region
• Atyrau Region
• Mangystau Region
• Aktobe Region
• Kostanay Region

Meanwhile, the situation will develop quite differently in the southern territories of the country, where strong dust storms are highly likely to occur. The rest of the republic will remain mostly without precipitation, though a general strengthening of wind is projected across almost all regions.

Daytime air temperatures will vary drastically depending on the geographical area:

 In the west: Modernating and cooling down to +20...+25 degrees.

 In the northern, eastern, and central regions: Heat waves intensifying up to +23...+38 degrees.

 In the south: The mercury is expected to soar to +30...+40 degrees, bringing peak mid-summer heat.
