The semi-final match of the WTA-1000 category super-tournament in Miami has concluded, featuring Kazakhstan's top tennis player and world number two, Elena Rybakina. In a hard-fought contest, Rybakina fell to the world’s top-ranked player, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, with a final score of 4-6, 3-6.

The opening set began as a balanced affair. However, the momentum shifted in the decisive tenth game when Rybakina committed several technical errors, handing the set to her opponent. The first set lasted just 36 minutes, with Sabalenka’s powerful strikes and five aces playing a significant role in the outcome.

In the second set, the world number one immediately seized control, racing to a 4-0 lead. Although Rybakina managed to claw back two games, it was not enough to turn the tide of the match. After 1 hour and 18 minutes of play, Sabalenka secured the victory on her second match point. Statistical data further highlighted the Belarusian's dominance: the ace count stood at 9-2, while the total points won were 66-48 in Sabalenka's favor.

It is worth noting that Elena Rybakina was the only Kazakhstani athlete to reach the semi-finals in Miami. Earlier in the tournament, Alexander Bublik, Alexander Shevchenko, Yulia Putintseva, and Anna Danilina were all eliminated from the competition. For her semi-final appearance, Rybakina will receive a prize purse of $340,190.

The tournament final will now see defending champion Aryna Sabalenka face off against American Coco Gauff. The total prize fund for the event is $9,415,725.
