President Tokayev to Undertake State Visit to Pakistan

President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will pay a state visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on February 3–4, according to the official Akorda Telegram channel.

During the visit, the Head of State is scheduled to meet with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. The discussions will focus on the main pillars of bilateral cooperation, including:

• Strengthening diplomatic ties and regional alignment.
• Expanding investment partnerships and logistics cooperation.
• Enhancing cultural exchange and people-to-people contacts.

A central part of the visit is the President’s participation in the Kazakhstan–Pakistan Business Forum. This event is designed to foster direct connections between business communities and explore the practical implementation of joint projects.

Experts note that this visit is a significant milestone, aimed at transforming the historic and cultural affinities between the two nations into robust economic cooperation, with a particular focus on regional connectivity and transit trade through South Asian seaports.
