During a high-level meeting with representatives from China's leading corporations, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev unveiled a bold initiative aimed at revolutionizing logistics between the two nations. The President proposed the creation of a trade framework where goods can transit across national borders with the same seamless speed that data travels across the internet.

Central to this vision is Kazakhstan’s flagship logistics project, the Smart Cargo platform. Designed as a unified digital ecosystem, this "single-window" system streamlines customs, logistics, and commercial operations into a cohesive, highly efficient process.

"I believe Kazakhstan and China have the potential to jointly establish new global benchmarks that will fundamentally boost international trade efficiency," President Tokayev stated. "I invite Chinese technology firms, logistics providers, and infrastructure investors to actively participate in realizing this ambitious initiative."

The President emphasized that transforming Kazakhstan into a primary transport and logistics hub connecting China with Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and Europe is a key strategic priority for the country. Currently, 13 international transport corridors pass through Kazakhstan, and approximately 85% of all rail freight between China and Europe moves across Kazakh territory.

Looking ahead, the President stressed that the competitiveness of modern transport corridors is no longer defined solely by physical infrastructure. Instead, success in the contemporary era depends on the velocity of data exchange, the depth of digital integration, and the absolute transparency of logistics systems.
