The Prosecutor's Office has reported that the personal data of more than 2,000 employees from 28 educational organizations in Pavlodar was published in the open domain.

According to the agency, schools included the personal information of their employees in tender documentation while publishing announcements for the procurement of medical examination services. The leaked data included residential addresses, personal questionnaire details, and phone numbers.

The Prosecutor's Office emphasized that the public disclosure of such information not only violates labor legislation but also creates opportunities for fraudulent activities. Following the intervention of the supervisory authority, the data concerning 2,065 employees was removed from the portal.

The individuals responsible for the incident have been held to disciplinary account. However, the exact number of people disciplined and the specific nature of their punishment were not specified.

Kazakhstan plans to introduce criminal liability for the mass distribution of personal data in the near future. Additionally, there are plans to increase fines for violating information security requirements up to 5,000 monthly calculation indices (21,625,000 tenge).
