Passengers Violate Regulations on the Very First Day of LRT Launch

Instances of safety protocol violations were recorded within the first 24 hours of the LRT network's launch in Astana, according to a statement by City Transportation Systems (CTS).
The company reported that some passengers intentionally obstructed the closing of doors and attempted to force them open manually. Furthermore, emergency stop and door-release buttons were pressed without valid justification.
CTS emphasized that the system is fully automated. Consequently, such actions are flagged as potential hazards, causing the trains to halt for dispatcher verification and inspection.
All violations are captured and recorded by video surveillance cameras. The gathered footage and materials will be forwarded to law enforcement agencies to ensure the perpetrators are held legally accountable.
The company urges all passengers to strictly comply with safety regulations and reminds the public that the LRT lines operate under high voltage.
