From the beginning of 2025 to November 30, the number of parcels processed by China’s express delivery services exceeded 180 billion units, marking a record for the sector, according to data released Monday by the State Post Bureau of China.

The statistics—an average of over 16 billion parcels per month, a peak of 777 million parcels per day, and a processing speed of 6,200 parcels per second—demonstrate the strong vitality of China’s economy, the bureau stated.

Since the beginning of 2025, the postal and courier sectors have significantly boosted industrial development and regional economic growth, a Xinhua agency source noted.

The introduction of free delivery services in remote western regions has accelerated the expansion of local logistics networks. Particularly rapid growth in the courier business has been observed in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as well as Xinjiang Uygur and Sichuan Autonomous Regions.

The State Post Bureau also highlighted increased investment in research and technological innovation, and improvements in operational efficiency through the implementation of robotics and artificial intelligence.
