OpenAI has introduced a new feature in the U.S. called ChatGPT Health, designed to analyze users' medical records and provide more accurate health-related advice. However, privacy advocates warn that this move could pose significant risks to personal data privacy, as reported by the BBC.

Users can now share their medical documents and data from popular apps such as Apple Health, Peloton, and MyFitnessPal with the artificial intelligence. The system analyzes the collected information to offer personalized recommendations tailored to each individual's unique situation. According to statistics, more than 230 million people already ask the chatbot questions regarding health and wellness every week.

The news has sparked significant public debate. Andrew Crawford, an expert at the Center for Democracy and Technology in the U.S., stated:

New AI tools offer the promise of empowering patients, but health data is some of the most sensitive information people can share. Especially as OpenAI moves to explore advertising as a business model, it's crucial that the separation between this sort of health data and other conversations is airtight."

Due to strict data protection laws, this service has not yet been launched in the European Union or the United Kingdom.
