Olympiacos Player Discusses What It Will Take to Beat Kairat

Santiago Este, the Argentine midfielder of Olympiacos, shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League group-stage match against Kairat.

“First and foremost, we must understand that this is just another game. We are capable of winning, and we deserve it. We will go onto the field to secure victory. Our main focus is simply to do our job,” Este said.

He added that he cannot predict how the weather will affect the match but emphasized that both teams will face the same conditions.

“I don’t know how the weather will influence tomorrow’s game. However, we will be competing on equal terms. We will aim to demonstrate strong teamwork and follow our coaches’ instructions. Only by doing so can we achieve a win,” the player explained.

The match between Kairat and Olympiacos will take place on Tuesday, 9 December, starting at 20:30 Kazakhstan time. The game will be held in Astana to avoid potential issues caused by adverse weather conditions.

After five rounds, Olympiacos sits in 33rd place with two points, while Kairat is in 35th place with one point.
