This September, the capital of Kazakhstan will welcome an official youth academy of the world-famous French football club Paris Saint-Germain, according to an announcement from PSG. This launch positions Kazakhstan as the 24th country to join the global PSG Academy network.

The academy’s debut training hub will be hosted at Astana’s Air Arena sports complex. Featuring a full-size indoor pitch built to strict FIFA standards, the facility ensures young athletes can hone their skills continuously, regardless of seasonal weather conditions.

For its inaugural season, the academy plans to enroll roughly 300 boys and girls aged 6 to 14. Students will be grouped according to age and technical ability, following the official training methodology established by the Parisian club.

Founded by entrepreneur Almaz Alsenov, PSG Academy Kazakhstan aims to provide the next generation with access to elite sports education while nurturing both athletic and personal growth.

Beyond youth development, the initiative is set to boost grassroots football and upskill local coaches. Every trainer will complete a specialized PSG Academy certification program and receive ongoing methodological guidance directly from Paris-based technical staff.

While Astana serves as the launching pad, organizers intend to scale the academy model to other regions across Kazakhstan in the future.
