Timur Alpysbayev, a 9th-grade student at “NURORDA” School-Lyceum in Astana, won a bronze medal at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO 2025), held in Sochi, Russia.

The prestigious international competition brought together over 120 students from 21 countries. Participants competed in physics, chemistry, and biology, completing both theoretical and experimental tasks that tested their analytical and practical skills.

The Kazakhstan team achieved a 100% success rate, winning 6 medals in total, with Alpysbayev Timur among the medalists.

IJSO is recognized globally as a leading Olympiad for gifted students under 16, focused on science disciplines and the development of analytical and practical abilities.
