North Korean authorities have reportedly executed 29 people for consuming and distributing foreign culture, specifically South Korean K-dramas.

According to the TJWG report, these individuals were targeted under the 2020 Law on Rejecting Reactionary Thought, which views foreign media as a lethal ideological threat.

Most of the executions were public firing squads, intended to serve as a warning to citizens who smuggle content on USB drives.

Reports indicate that even minors have faced the death penalty for watching global hits like "Squid Game."

While the wealthy use bribes to escape punishment, ordinary citizens without connections face the full severity of the regime's cultural crackdown.
