New Train Service Launched Between Astana and Arkalyk: Schedule and Fares

To enhance regional connectivity, the national carrier "Passenger Transportation" JSC is launching a temporary train route between Astana and Arkalyk throughout August 2026.
Schedule (August 2 – August 31)

Astana to Arkalyk: Departs from Nurly Zhol station at 23:05 on even dates, arriving at 09:16.
-
Arkalyk to Astana: Departs at 21:20 on odd dates, arriving at 07:16.
The train will make scheduled stops at Zhaltyr, Atbasar, Zhaksy, Yesil, and Derzhavinsk.
The service will utilize modern 2024-model "RWS Wagon" carriages, consisting of three sleeping (coupe) and three economy (platskart) cars, with a total capacity of over 250 passengers per trip. The cars feature ergonomic seating, individual lighting, USB ports, power outlets, and accessible facilities for passengers with limited mobility.

This initiative is designed to improve transport links between the Akmola and Kostanay regions, providing a convenient and affordable travel option for residents.
