The domestic low-cost carrier FlyArystan is changing its free carry-on baggage allowance effective March 1, 2026. Under the new regulations, passengers will be permitted to carry hand luggage weighing up to 7 kg for free, an increase from the previous 5 kg limit, reports FlyArystan.

According to the airline, the permitted dimensions for carry-on baggage remain unchanged at 56×23×36 cm. This decision was made following a comprehensive analysis of passenger demand, market conditions, and international air transport practices.

The new requirements apply to all flights operated from March 1, 2026, regardless of the ticket purchase date. Flights operated up to and including February 28, 2026, will still follow the previous 5 kg allowance per passenger.

The airline announced that it will continue to uphold the "one-piece concept." This means passengers are allowed only one item of carry-on baggage that must meet the specified weight and dimension requirements. Statistics from 2024-2025 show that approximately three out of four FlyArystan passengers prefer to travel with only the minimum hand luggage.

Representatives of the low-cost carrier emphasized that the core "no-frills" business model remains the same. Passengers can still choose and pay for additional services - such as checked baggage, meals, and seat selection - allowing them to customize the cost of their flight according to their needs.
