New Parking Tariffs Approved in Astana: Who Is Eligible for Free Parking

New tariffs for car parking have been approved in Astana, as announced by the city Maslikhat. According to the new regulations, payment amounts are determined based on the parking zone's location.

According to the document, street-side communal parking areas will be divided into three zones: 200 tenge per hour in high-demand zones, 150 tenge in medium-demand zones, and 100 tenge in low-demand zones. Drivers are given the opportunity to make the payment by 23:59 on the same day.

Additionally, residents or commercial property owners are granted the right to use one free parking space for a single vehicle in the area adjacent to their buildings. As for indoor parking facilities, the Akimat will set prices individually for each facility, with daily and monthly payment options available.

Furthermore, several categories of citizens are eligible to use parking spaces free of charge. These include veterans of war and labor, individuals with Group I and II disabilities, mothers of large families, victims of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, electric vehicle owners, and emergency service vehicles.

The new regulations will come into effect starting July 12.
