Nauryz Travel: New Train Routes Launched Between Major Kazakh Cities

In anticipation of the surge in passenger demand for the Nauryz holiday, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) has announced the launch of additional train services. The national railway operator confirmed that extra routes and carriages will be introduced to accommodate holiday travelers.
During the festive period, three additional trains will perform a total of 20 trips. Furthermore, approximately 230 extra carriages will be attached to existing high-demand routes, providing a total of 35,000 additional seats for passengers.
Additional Routes and Schedules
KTZ has specified the following temporary routes to manage the passenger flow:
- Train №201/202 "Almaty-2 – Astana-1":
- From Almaty: March 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, and 30.
- From Astana: March 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, and 31.
Total of six trips.
- Train №204/203 "Astana Nurly Zhol – Shymkent":
- From Astana: March 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, and 29.
- From Shymkent: March 21, 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, and 31.
Total of eight trips.
- Train №205/206 "Aktobe – Astana Nurly Zhol":
- From Aktobe: March 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, and 29.
- From Astana: March 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, and 30.
Total of six trips.
According to the company, these measures aim to increase ticket accessibility and ensure a smoother travel experience for citizens visiting family and friends during the spring celebrations.
