In Mangystau region, a temporary restriction on partnered births has been introduced due to the worsening epidemiological situation, reports Lada.kz. The measure was adopted by the regional Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department.

Officials explained that the restriction is a response to the rise in acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the area.

“This decision was made to reduce the risk of infection spreading among mothers and newborns. The restriction is temporary and will be reviewed once the epidemiological situation stabilizes,” said the department’s representatives.
