Middle East Crisis: 946 Kazakh Citizens Safely Return Home

In response to the escalating political tensions in the Middle East, the Government of Kazakhstan is actively executing measures to repatriate its citizens. According to the Civil Aviation Committee, 946 Kazakhstanis have been successfully transported back to the country to date.

On March 4, several special flights from Saudi Arabia landed at domestic airports. Air Astana performed a series of evacuation flights across the following routes:

• Medina – Aktau: 142 passengers were on board.

• Medina – Atyrau: 145 citizens were safely delivered.

• Jeddah – Atyrau: Two separate flights brought back 174 and 179 passengers, respectively.

In addition to these efforts, SCAT Airlines has been mobilized to assist with the transport of citizens. Currently, a Boeing 767 with a capacity of 290 passengers is operating an additional flight on the Almaty – Muscat – Almaty route.
