Major US News Outlets File Lawsuit Against Donald Trump

Washington has become the epicenter of a new political confrontation. Major US media organizations - including CNN, MS NOW, and Politico - have filed a joint lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Columbia against President Donald Trump and senior administration officials. The legal action follows the White House's decision to revoke the press credentials of these outlets and ban their reporters from the building.

The conflict erupted on September 18 after Donald Trump publicly accused the news organizations of disseminating "unfair coverage." The following day, US Secret Service personnel revoked the journalists' badges and denied them access to the White House premises. Characterizing the move as retaliation for critical reporting and an infringement on press freedom, media representatives requested an emergency injunction from a federal judge to overturn the ban. Highlighting the severity of the standoff, the White House press pool - led by Fox News - also refused to pool coverage for events featuring the president.

Donald Trump issued a fierce response on his Truth Social platform:

"These fake news creators are not free speech; they are a cancer spread across our beloved country. They pose a threat to national security and must be stopped immediately!" declared the US President.

Dismissing the lawsuit as another political attack by his opponents, the head of the White House asserted that he would continue fighting those who misuse freedom of speech for personal agendas. District Judge Timothy Kelly has been assigned to preside over the case.
