The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic has officially announced the dispatch of humanitarian cargo to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The aid package consists of 66 tons of food supplies and 63 tons of medical provisions.

A convoy of seven trucks is transporting flour, canned meat, vegetable oil, and essential medicines. The official handover ceremony will take place with the participation of Akylbek Kylychev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Iran.

Official Bishkek had previously expressed deep concern regarding the escalating situation in the Middle East, calling on all parties to immediately cease fire. The Kyrgyz authorities advocate for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.

According to open sources, on February 28 of this year, the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran. In response, Tehran has reportedly carried out strikes against Israeli targets and other facilities in the region.

Regional tensions have intensified following Israel’s statements regarding the containment of Iran’s nuclear program and the sustained US sanction pressure after its withdrawal from the nuclear deal in 2018. Currently, military actions are taking on a broader scale, involving pro-Iranian groups in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
