Kazhydromet synopticians have announced that over the coming days, the weather across most of Kazakhstan will turn significantly adverse, driven by the influence of a western cyclone.
According to experts' forecasts, unstable weather conditions will persist across the republic over the next three days (June 9–11). A number of regions will experience thunderstorms, passing torrential rains, hail, and potentially destructive winds. Heavy precipitation is expected on June 9–11 in the northwestern, northern, and southwestern parts of the republic, while eastern regions will remain predominantly dry.
Regional Temperature Forecast
A slight relief from the intense heat is expected in several regions of the country. Daytime temperatures across the regions will be as follows:
Western regions: daytime temperatures of +27...+35°C;
Northern regions: daytime temperatures of +17...+28°C;
North-eastern and Central regions: daytime temperatures of +25...+33°C;
South-eastern regions: daytime temperatures of +27...+35°C;
Eastern regions: daytime temperatures of +32...+39°C (extreme heat).
Today, June 8, most of Kazakhstan will see rainy weather with thunderstorms and possible hail. Precipitation will be heavy in the west, and certain areas may experience strong winds with speeds reaching 15–20 meters per second. Heavy fog is expected in the northern regions during the night and morning hours.
Earlier, it was reported that extreme heat reaching +37°C near Shymkent caused damage to the concrete road surface. Competent authorities urge citizens to take necessary safety precautions during these adverse weather conditions.
