In accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the calendar of holidays, an additional day off will be granted in July of this year in connection with the celebration of Astana Day, Kursiv reports.

In 2026, the state holiday - Astana Day (July 6) - falls on a Monday. Consequently, Kazakhstanis working a five-day work week will rest for three consecutive days - July 4, 5, and 6. For citizens working a six-day work week, July 5 and 6 have been designated as days off.

Schedule of Days Off:

 July 4 (Saturday) — regular calendar day off;

 July 5 (Sunday) — regular calendar day off;

 July 6 (Monday) — Astana Day (state holiday).

Notably, this holiday was established in connection with the official relocation of the country's capital from Almaty to Astana in 1998 and is traditionally celebrated annually on July 6.

Meanwhile, there are no official state holidays scheduled in the calendar for June of this year in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, time off in June will be carried out strictly according to the standard schedule.

For a five-day work week, there is a total of 8 days off in June, which are: June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28. No additional days off are provided in this month according to the production calendar.
