Starting this January, citizens of Kazakhstan can replace their driver’s licenses online through the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile application. The announcement was published on the official eGov.kz Telegram channel. The service is also available if the driver’s license has already expired.

To apply, users must log in to the e-government portal and follow these steps:
Go to the “Citizens” section → “Transport and Communications”“Road Transport” → select “Issuance of Driver’s Licenses.”

Applicants must indicate the Public Service Center (PSC) where they plan to collect the finished document, upload a photo and signature sample, and provide a contact phone number.

It is also necessary to pay the state fee online (1.25 MCI) or use the “Previously Paid” option if applicable. The application must then be confirmed using one of the available verification methods.

The service result will appear in the user’s personal account, and the ready document can be collected from the selected PSC upon presentation of an ID card.

The announcement also notes that in some cases, a user’s document data may not yet be digitized in state information systems. In such situations, the system will display a notification, and the applicant may need to visit a PSC in person to update their records.
