Rising tensions in the Middle East have left many Kazakhstani travelers unsure about trips to the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Some flights have been canceled, forcing tourists to consider postponing, changing destinations, or requesting refunds.

Experts say if a flight is officially canceled, the tour is automatically voided and tourists will get a full refund. Voluntary cancellations may incur penalties depending on contract terms. Non-refundable costs like tickets, hotels, and transfers must be documented by the travel company.

Lawyer Maria Shukalova noted that under Kazakh law, travelers can cancel before departure, but actual costs may be deducted. Trips may also be considered force majeure in cases like airspace closures or emergencies.

Travel agencies advise patience and waiting for official updates. For those changing destinations, Southeast Asia—including Vietnam, Thailand, India, and China - may be safer options for spring vacations.
