The Agency for Protection and Development of Competition has announced plans to implement stricter monitoring of the country’s fuel market. The agency’s press office confirmed that this initiative aims to ensure market stability and prevent pricing irregularities.

During a meeting chaired by Marat Omarov, the head of the agency, specific instructions were issued to regional departments. They are tasked with maintaining constant surveillance of the pricing policies adopted by oil suppliers, wholesale distributors, as well as petrol and gas filling stations.

The agency emphasized that any identified signs of antitrust legislation violations will trigger immediate corrective measures. To support these efforts, a comprehensive action plan has been developed to proactively prevent illegal competitive practices. Furthermore, the agency intends to enhance inter-agency coordination through regional task forces to ensure effective market regulation.
