“Kazakhstan to Raise Minimum Pension in 2026”

Kazakhstan will raise the minimum pension amount in 2026. According to the draft state budget, the minimum pension will be 69,049 tenge. Currently, it stands at 62,771 tenge, meaning an increase of 6,278 tenge, reports TengriNews.

The basic pension will also rise: in 2025 it is set at 32,360 tenge, while in 2026 it will reach 35,596 tenge, an increase of 3,236 tenge. Since 2018, the basic pension has been assigned individually, taking into account a person’s participation period in the pension system.

How the pension system is structured:

• Solidary pension – paid by the government to those who worked and contributed to the old pension system before 1998.
• Basic pension – a fixed payment assigned to all retirees.
• Funded pension – each citizen accumulates their own pension savings in the UAPF, with 10% of their monthly salary transferred to their individual account.

After indexation in 2026, the minimum pension will be 104,645 tenge, while the maximum pension will be 238,412 tenge.
