The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has submitted five potential scenarios for the 2027 Minimum Wage (MW) to the government's economic bloc. Minister Askarbek Yertayev clarified that while various figures are under review, a sharp increase to 150,000 tenge is "highly unlikely."

The ministry has provided calculations for several tiers, including 90,000, 95,000, and 100,000 tenge. The government prioritizes a balanced approach based on actuarial calculations and current economic stability. The new methodology aligns with International Labour Organization (ILO) guidelines, ensuring the minimum wage remains proportionate to median and average national earnings.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of National Economy will make the final decision based on budget capacity. The official rate for 2027 is expected to be finalized by the end of this year.
