The second stage of the World Boxing-2026 World Cup has concluded in Guiyang, China. The national team of Kazakhstan delivered an impressive performance, securing second place in the overall team standings.

The tournament featured 333 athletes from 44 countries, competing for medals across 20 weight categories for both men and women. Representing Kazakhstan, 17 boxers claimed a total of 5 gold and 3 bronze medals, placing them among the top-performing teams of the competition.

The gold medalists for the Kazakhstan team are:

 Sanzhar Tashkenbay (50 kg)

 Abylaikhan Zhusupov (70 kg)

 Aibek Oralbay (+90 kg)

 Nazym Kyzaibay (+54 kg)

 Victoria Grafeyeva (60 kg)

In the final bouts, our compatriots defeated world-renowned opponents. Notably, Victoria Grafeyeva overcame an Olympic champion, while Nazym Kyzaibay defeated a world championship medalist. Additionally, Aida Abikeyeva (65 kg), Valeriya Axenova (80 kg), and Dina Islambekova (+80 kg) earned bronze medals.

In the overall team standings, China took first place with 5 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals, while Kazakhstan followed in second place with 5 gold and 3 bronze medals. Uzbekistan’s boxers rounded out the top three.

This result once again proves the competitiveness of the Kazakh boxing school on the international stage.
