Kazakhstan and China Agree on Mutual Recognition of Driving Licenses

Kazakhs and Chinese citizens will soon be able to drive in both countries using their native driver's licenses. Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs announced a bilateral agreement on the mutual recognition and exchange of national driving permits following high-level talks between Kazakh Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov and Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong. The initiative aims to simplify administrative procedures for travelers and boost mutual visits.

Additionally, both governments signed a security and law enforcement agreement for the Khorgos International Center for Boundary Cooperation. This accord completes years of joint efforts to establish a legal framework for cross-border security, outlining cooperation protocols to prevent violations, address emerging threats, and safeguard visitors within the international trade zone.
