According to KazMunayGas, following restrictions on Kazakh oil transportation through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system at the end of last year, urgent work was carried out to reroute raw materials to alternative export destinations via the KazTransOil (KTO) system.

Approximately 300,000 tons of oil were transferred to the KTO system for delivery to export markets, including Germany, China, and via the ports of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Novorossiysk, and Ust-Luga. As CPC restrictions on oil intake persist into January 2026, measures to divert raw materials to other routes will continue.

Work on expanding Kazakhstan's additional oil transportation routes is ongoing:

• Germany Route: By the end of 2025, a growth trend was observed in oil supplies to Germany (specifically the Schwedt refinery). The volume reached 2.1 million tons. In 2026, there are plans to increase this volume to 2.5 million tons.

• Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC): 1.3 million tons of oil were shipped from the Port of Aktau via the BTC route. The goal for 2026 is to increase this figure to 1.6 million tons.

• China Route: Export levels of Kazakh oil to the People's Republic of China remain stable. By the end of 2025, 1.1 million tons of oil were exported to the PRC.
