Kazakh Meat Crosses the Ocean: List of New Export Markets Revealed

The number of countries purchasing meat products from Kazakhstan is set to increase this year. Amangali Berdalin, the Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced this during a Senate session dedicated to the development of the livestock industry.

According to the Vice Minister, 16 veterinary certificates were negotiated and signed in 2025. These documents pave the way for exporting domestic products to the following regions and countries:
 

• The European Union and the United Kingdom;
• Irak and Iran;
• The United States and Canada;
• Vietnam and the Persian Gulf countries.

The Ministry aims to further expand the list of export commodities in the near future:
 

• To China: Poultry, beef, and mutton (chilled), as well as pork by-products.
• To the European Union: Horse meat and aquaculture products.
• To Pakistan: Cattle, small ruminants, poultry, and other related products.

Additionally, a draft of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Livestock Farming for 2026–2030 has been approved. This program will define the strategic direction for the industry’s growth over the next five years.
