Kazakhstan’s media outlets, alongside viral posts on the social media platform Threads, recently reported on alleged new service conditions for Kaspi Bank.

The reports claimed that the annual service fee would jump from 1,995 KZT to 10,000 KZT. Additionally, rumors suggested a 5% commission (minimum 200 tenge) on transfers to other banks' cards, as well as a 5% fee for deposits and withdrawals exceeding limits or performed by third parties.

However, these claims have been officially refuted by the bank. Kaspi assured its customers that any actual changes to service terms are always communicated well in advance.

"The misunderstanding was caused by an incorrect interpretation of an updated legal document regarding tariffs. That document lists maximum limit values  in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the bank stated.
