Almaty’s FC Kairat has concluded its historic run in the UEFA Champions League league phase. In the final 8th round of the tournament, the Kazakh side faced Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in London, narrowly losing with a score of 3:2.

The match started at a blistering pace. Arsenal's striker Viktor Gyökeres opened the scoring just two minutes into the game. However, Kairat responded quickly when a foul on Jorginho inside the box led the referee to point to the penalty spot. Jorginho converted the 11-meter strike with precision to level the score.

Despite the comeback, Arsenal regained the lead in the 15th minute as Kai Havertz exploited a gap in the Almaty defense. Before the end of the first half, Gabriel Martinelli found the net, extending the Gunners' lead to 3:1.

The second half saw a more tactical approach from both sides, with fewer clear-cut scoring opportunities. Late in the match, Ricardinho showed great clinical skill to pull one back for Kairat, bringing the score to 3:2. Unfortunately, time ran out before the visitors could find an equalizer.

With this result, Kairat - making its historic debut in the Champions League league phase—fails to advance to the knockout stages (Round of 16) and officially ends its European campaign.
