A married couple has tragically lost their lives in an accident on an Akmola highway, according to a report by BAQ.kz.

The husband was driving a Lada Largus, taking his pregnant wife - a mother of four - to the city of Stepnogorsk for an ultrasound examination. The collision, involving a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, occurred on the "Aqsu - Bestobe " road. Both the driver and his passengers died at the scene.

Authorities report that a pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
