Iran has officially denied reports of launching a missile toward Turkey, according to a statement issued by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic.

In the official announcement, the Iranian military emphasized that it respects Turkey as a neighboring and friendly nation and categorically rejected claims of any strike conducted in its direction.

This statement follows a report from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, which claimed that a ballistic missile launched from Iranian territory was intercepted and shot down by Turkish air defense systems.

According to Ankara, there were no casualties as a result of the incident; however, missile fragments did fall within Turkish territory. In response, Turkish authorities have declared that the country remains fully prepared to retaliate against any form of aggression.
