The official spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Beka’i, described the attack on an elementary school in Minab on February 28 as an unforgivable and serious military crime. According to Beka’i, 168 children were killed in the attack, and those responsible must be held accountable.

Iran’s state television reported that Tomahawk missiles were used in the attack on the “Shajarat at-Tayyiba” girls’ school in Minab. In total, 185 people, including children and teachers, were killed.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the attack was carried out by Iran:

“Based on the data I’ve seen, this attack was carried out by Iran itself. Their munitions lack precision.”

He also reminded that Iran possesses some missile capabilities.

However, preliminary findings published by U.S. media suggest that the attack may have been carried out by the U.S. military. Military investigations are ongoing.
