The iPhone 16 smartphones, which Erbolat Zhanabylov and Elmira Tolegenova had promised as prizes for their course participants, have been listed on an electronic trading portal.
The Astana Department of State Property and Privatization has announced the sale of 17 iPhone 16 smartphones, each with 128 GB of storage. Among them, two are white, seven are black, and eight are ultramarine. According to the valuation report, the devices are in new, excellent condition.
The starting price for each smartphone is set at 484,990 tenge, with a mandatory security deposit of 72,749 tenge. The auction is scheduled to begin on July 8 at 10:00 AM and will be conducted using the ascending price method.
Previously, the department also listed eight Hyundai Elantra vehicles confiscated in connection with the bloggers' case. Currently, these cars can only be purchased by law enforcement agencies, special state bodies, and institutions that support the activities of the President, political officials, and deputies. The auction for the vehicles is planned for July 7.
As a reminder, on April 27, a court found the two bloggers guilty of illegal entrepreneurship and legalizing funds obtained through criminal means. Erbolat Zhanabylov received a two-year suspended sentence, while Elmira Tolegenova was sentenced to two years, with the execution of the sentence deferred. They have fully compensated for the damage caused to the state, totaling over 247.7 million tenge.
