Important Update for Kazakhstani Travelers: New Thailand Entry Rules Take Effect September 15

Starting September 15, the visa-free stay allowance for Kazakhstani citizens traveling to Thailand will be reduced from 60 days to 30 days, according to an announcement from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Moving forward, Kazakhstani travelers will be subject to the conditions outlined in the bilateral government agreement on mutual visa exemption for national passport holders.

"Kazakhstani citizens may stay in Thailand without a visa for up to 30 calendar days from the date of entry. However, the total cumulative duration of stay must not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period," the embassy stated.

Visa Required for Stays Exceeding 30 Days

Diplomatic representatives strongly advise citizens planning trips to Thailand to account for these updated immigration rules. Those intending to remain in the country for more than 30 days must secure the appropriate visa in advance.

Approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Thailand, the updated regulations officially enter into force on September 15.
