The National Testing Center has published a detailed calendar for 2026 applicants. The main Unified National Testing (UNT) will conclude on July 10. As a reminder, based on the results of the second week of exams, 65% of participants successfully passed the threshold score.

In total, about 240,000 applicants registered for the UNT, including 134 individuals with special educational needs.

University Application Window: June 20 – August 25.

Pedagogical & Medical Fields: Specialized exams will run from June 20 to August 20. However, to be eligible for the state grant competition, these exams must be completed by July 20.

Creative Exams (Artists, Musicians, Architects): Applications are accepted from June 20 to August 10, but the deadline for the grant competition is July 7.

The list of state educational grant recipients will be published by August 10.

In 2026, the government is allocating over 77,000 educational grants for Bachelor's degrees, approximately 10,000 for Master's degrees, and 3,000 for PhD programs. Competition is expected to be fierce this year, as nearly 217,000 students are graduating from high schools.

Top National Universities: Minimum threshold score is 65 points.

Other Universities: Minimum threshold score is 50 points.

If an applicant achieves a high score but falls just short of a full state grant, they can apply for a 50% partial grant. A total of 300 partial grants are planned for this year, and they will be distributed in September, following the main competition.

Applicants are advised to check the official university websites and the National Testing Center portal for the latest updates on the admissions campaign.
