The company Henley & Partners has released its latest global passport index. The study includes documents from 199 countries, with the primary focus of the evaluation being the number of countries citizens can visit without a prior visa.

According to the updated list, Kazakhstan has climbed four positions in one year, rising from 65th place in 2025 to 61st place. This change is attributed to the number of visa-free destinations reaching 78. This achievement places Kazakhstan first in the Central Asia region.

Top and Bottom Rankings:

  • Singapore leads the ranking, with its passport allowing visa-free entry to 192 countries.
  • Japan and South Korea follow in second place (188 countries).
  • Denmark, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland share the next tier (186 countries).
  • Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the list, with its citizens able to visit only 24 countries without a visa.

Henley & Partners has been producing this passport ranking for twenty years. Kazakhstani citizens can check the full list of visa-free countries via the eGov portal.
